About Us
Hello and welcome to Maison en Dordogne, in other words our home in the Dordogne. We are Michel and Inge and we live in the Netherlands. In 2006 we found peace and tranquillity here in the loveliest part of the Dordogne. We love French life and ended up here through friends.
As we unfortunately cannot vacation here all year round, we make the house available to those in need of a quiet and relaxing holiday in beautiful Périgord.
Welcome To Maison en Dordogne
The house is located in the north of the Dordogne, Saint Sulpice d’Excideuil and was built in 1973. We bought it in 2006 from the first owner who designed and built this house himself.
It is a typical French house with 3 spacious bedrooms and a large kitchen with an authentic fireplace.
The bedrooms each have 1 double bed or 2 single beds, all beds are 2 meters long.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a 5-burner gas stove, gas oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge freezer with ice dispenser and water tap. There is a bathroom with two sinks, a bath and shower. The large living room has a dining table suitable for 6 people. The patio doors at the dining table side open to the front patio. Behind the house is a spacious garden with various terraces.
The picturesque village of St. Sulpice has a small shop (3 min walk) where you’ll find your daily fresh breads and local specialties.
The 4 x 8 meters private pool is heated by solar energy and open from April to October. In the garden you’ll also find a spacious bar and an outdoor kitchen.
You should be able to drive there comfortably in a day. Some driving distances: 950 km from Amsterdam, 800 from Antwerp, 740 from Calais and only 450 from Paris. There are also excellent train connections and low-cost flights to nearby airports in Limoges and Bergerac.
Unfortunately pets are not allowed.
